im done messing with that console. i dont know how to paint and im gonna stop pretending that i do know. ill have to let fiberglass man take over when he gets back.

LOL...I hear ya man I went to see him yesterday he does really nice work. His boat is beautiful!

So about the madien voyage...The boat rides great im only getting 49oo rpm's and that equals 40 mph! Think i'm going to change prop!

that motor u should be at about 5500 WOT. i had a 15x17 michigan wheel on my 150. maybe u could try that one.. my dad convinced me to try ONE final time on this painting thing. i was using a gun that shot way too much paint so i bought a smaller one and am gonna try it again shortly after i sand the runs from before...

there is a 19pithch prop on there now im going to try out a 17 p and see what happens.

You may want to check if all cylinders are fireing maybe one coil on stator could be bad ( major slow down)that would be hard to detect just by hearing engine run .Jose

close the paint flow valve to 30 to 50 percent open, and open the fan all the way, apply your coverage light and hold gun about 8 inches away from the work area, If the paint is thinned properly it should take three coats ( one fine tack coat and two, two pass coats )to cover the console, Dont rush, there is no way you can posibly mess up more than I have learning how to paint.
