So the progress continues........
The bracket was installed using 8 - 1/2" SS bolts, 1 tube of 5200, and several layers of 1708 biaxial cloth (yes, I fiberglassed the bracket to the transom as well ![]() Applied a bunch of 545 primer coats plus some high build where needed. Then sprayed about $600 worth of Awlgrip in about 60 minutes.

Hard to see in the photos but the blue and the white have a "mirror" finish. No orange peel nor any runs. The blue is especially striking. In the future, I will add a 1" boot-stripe in probably yellow or gold color.
The console you see in the photo is just temporay and will be removed. I managed to purchase a nice CC/T-top from a 31 Contender than will be used on this boat.

Paint is Awlgrip Matterhorn white and Royal Blue. I've played with many of the Awlgrip "white" colors (about 10 different versions of "White" are available") and I like Matterhorn the best. It has a slight "blue" hint to it and masks dirt pretty well unlike the "Snow white" which looks great initially but prone to show dirt.
Of course the boat was sprayed at 38psi (gun pressure), using a 25% reduction with T0003. Air temp at time of application was 72 degrees and rising to 78 by 4pm. As you can see, I am working outside but under a tarp to keep bugs, leaves, sap and the sun away. I find that I get a better paint finish while spraying outside than I do trying to spray inside my barn where lots of ambient dust is all around and finds it's way into the finish. When painting outside, I take the garden hose and spray all around the boat to keep the ground moist and dust to a minimium.

The paint job looks great. Good idea to wet the ground. I know a guy that sprays custom cars and he always wet the shop floor before spraying so I do the same thing. One thing I noticed is that the bracket looks to be mounted fairly high. Did you do that on purpose? What shaft motor is going on that? Nice work and keep the pics coming.
