Yup, supposed to snow again on friday. Could make for an interesting drive home from the south shore get together.

I replaced my anchor panel, and I HAD to remove the cap. I assume the CC would be the same. You could probably cut yours out, and then make the new one just an inch or so short along the top and then fit in a narrow strip along the top.

I like the dog house set up. In the NE, it is a practical setup. Nice job.

It also reminds me when i was a kid, i spent alot more time in the "old doghouse" hanging on the kitchen wall than my siblings.

I hope somebody knows what i am talking about .... if not, ignore ... as usual ...

Alright Craig, I took it one step further. Instead of checking the height, I took the whole thing out, almost in one piece. So if you or anyone else wants a template let me know and I will make something up and send it out. Here are some pictures.

Tools needed for this project: hammer, chistle, vice grips with razor blade (couldn't find my utility knife), and a few punches to loosen her up. Total time 40 minutes.

You bet, I should have it in the mail by the end of next week. It did go pretty much all the way to the top of the cap so you may have a problem getting a new one in unless you cut it a little short. I guess you could always make it to size then cut the top after if needed.
