@gofastsandman: you betcha I'll sell you the old wheel. If I can ever get it off of there. It's stuck on pretty good. If I can't pull it, may come with a helm, and a tilt, too. I'll let you know what happens. I definitely can't use the big seacraft wheel with my CC setup. The guy who's painting the boat said he was going to take it to the shop and try to pull it. If I recall, standard methods did not work. I'm still waiting to see what happens...

I believe it is 3/4 inch. At least, that's what we discussed. It is painted on. What happened when they actually taped it off, not sure. It's at the shop so I'm not nearby to measure. It's less than 1 inch though. I gave them a picture of a stock 2003 SeaCraft and said make the boot stripe exactly like that. They got the size right, but I think they just followed the bottom of the hull instead of making a straight line at the waterline on the sides. Overall, I think the boot stripe came out pretty nice though. So I'm ok with it. I love how the color combination came out!

I have a recently rebuilt Hynautic helm and hoses so good there. Can you say barn/friend find. Horse traded for it. BBBones.

Drive some shingles under it and pop the shaft with a soft hammer. Soak and heat before.
Not a lot. Put a puller on it for a few days before the whack.

No such thing as standard practice when salt is the enemy. You can only hope to gain understanding and patience. All have bags of tricks. I like the older masters. Their bags may be bigger.

New Rub rail and new Rod holders are on.

Center Console is not attached yet. It will be moved about 1 foot toward the stern.

Getting closer to getting done...
