Here are a few pictures from the Gathering that were actually appropriate enough to post. Great people, great food and a great time!

I find it amazing we can assemble this many people without ever
officially posting it !! Who needs Face Book... Just call me da community organizer.... Think we have found our home base for our west coast fall gathering ! The week after Labor Day on the west coast seemed to work.. Same goes with the spring east coast at River Palm in Jensen ! Having a younger crowd attending means our legacy will live on forever.. Got to get my #1 son to quit working to much to start coming as well.. His buddy Fred with the 27 and his family attending might just get him motivated.. In the next few months lets try to settle on a date in May for 2019.. Thanks again to all that attended and shared in the event being eventful.. Long live CSC

I ran an SST 1 prop which I had bought for a spare.
I held plane comfortably at 2500. I think I have a new favorite prop. |

Julie and I had a great time. It was nice to see old friends and make some new ones. Thanks to NoBones for recognizing I've been AWOL from the board and giving me a call. Let's do it again before Capt. Chuck is too old to attend.

Most CSC members are unaware that Spidercrab Sam actually comes from a prominent southern family. Although, his kin's branch of the "Family Tree" veered radically off to the left a couple of generations ago. It is said that Sam was kin to Jefferson Davis (Hogg).
Although Sam didn't formally appear at the Gathering, it is reported he previewed the Homosassa Scalloping grounds a week before the event with some members of his family. Specifically his 3rd cousins, twice removed Darcy and Megan. See the attached video for his adventure. He was off camera most of the time (as he is not good TV!), but appears faintly in the murky water scenes...enjoy! https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...tQAHjpNURstSzV

Thanks Jim....
You know what surprises me no one got a pic of Sam's scallop cleaning girls that were set up every day around noon !! The one I'm talking about the little 100 lb spinner with the tank top and daisy dukes on .. She could shuck a mussel in 3 seconds flat ! Amazing that they only charge 5 bucks a gallon... Oh well maybe next year one of us will be sharp enough to get pics.. Found this article on Sam's cousin Cletis Huggins

Darcizzle
Hey Jim
Stumbled onto some Darcizzle videos a year ago. Watch occasionally for light hearted entertainment. She frequently fishes out of Palm Beach and Boynton inlets where I fished years ago. Their Homosassa scallops sure looked bigger than ours, but Darci had no more fun than we did! |
