And just when you think it couldn't get any worse. Cash is king.

Their value is going up daily right now. Match-grade .308's are double what they were a month ago. Find one other investment that DOUBLED in the past six weeks -

Look at the price for 100 rd. bricks of Remington .45 ACP 230gr. hollow points. I paid $37 in October, and they're now $89.

On the other hand, 2 weeks ago I found 2 1440 rd. cases of Polish berdan-primed mil-surp 7.62x39mm for a family member for only $126 a case, and 1 900 rd. sealed tin of brass/boxer 9x19mm +P for only $79. That's under 9 cents a round.

I only wish .30-06 and .45 ACP was so cheap.

(sigh) I guess I'll have to handload

I hand load 45 ACP for about 10 cents per round component cost. Of course you need to figure in the cost of the Dillon press. Component prices have also shot through the roof.

I have only heard excellent comments from friends in the know about dillon presses.

Did you all see Ken Langone on CNBC tonight. He was only days away from investing as much as 100 million with Madoff but when he met M, something threw him off and he passed!

UPS just showed up with yet another VERY heavy box. They've gotten more than a little used to delivering those boxes that say "ORD" on the side
