I know this sucks...
But remember the almighty has a plan and this one is a good call !! Lets focus on a spring ding over here or over there... Does not matter to me.. Captdh was working on one in St Augustine, but they wanted a contract signed and secured with a CC for major $$$$.. So lets just move on..

I’m pretty sure “the buck stops” at Rob Wells’ desk. They have always been very fair with their dealings. Of all the boats he could own, he’s a SeaCraft Scepter guy.

What?! That was quick....jeeze. Well, alright then. That will just add fuel to fire for the MOAG V2. See you guys in the Spring.

kmoose,
Thanks for posting the G&F red tide maps. I did not know that was available, better than my info. Looks like you were right, getting worse fast and asthma is not to mess with. |

Conner, I’m pretty geeky on the whole weather/conditions thing as my plan for the week involved diving in 200’ and on a 23’ boat, going out that far this time of year can be pretty dicey.
I am subscribed to the FWC red tide monitoring and when they stared sending me bi- weekly updates last week I knew it wasn’t going to be good. Aside from the inshore sampling being what it is, the offshore samples are just as bad if not worst. If it is as bad as it was six years ago up here the reefs, wrecks and ledges it touches will be wiped clean in days. I hope this isn’t the case as we are just now starting to see small red grouper and hogs again but the tropicals and invertebrates are still slow coming back. I was torn on the decision when I called Terry as our event is much more than fishing, but after I spoke with our rental host she confirmed the conditions were already becoming hazardous to those susceptible and I wasn’t going to drag my wife and granddaughter down all that way for a week and put them at risk. Let’s continue to talk about a spring event and get our next gathering lined up. I like the east coast for spring as the early dolphin, wahoo and tuna run is pretty predictable from St Augustine down to Sebastian. I also still think somewhere in the panhandle would be nice for something new.
