Default using vinyl for trim

I want to put some trim around the edge of the under gunnel rod cut outs on my 20...saw some vinyl molding at Home depot. do you think it would hold up looks like starboard but cheep...ALSO anyone know a EZ low costs way to replace a canvas top for a t- top .anything I can make myself....I have a limited low budget for the boat this year ..hope to get a slip in July for the rest of the season...

I used some trim I got from Release boats in homestead that is really nice. I think it is pvc. If you look at my boat i think you can see it in the pictures. I can give you the contact info if you want it.

Jamestown Distributors has several brands of the right stuff, West Marine has Taco. I ordered the Taco stuff, comes in black or white, in a few sizes. It is not what I would call cheap, but neither is a tank of gas....pay the price and do it right.
