Drain plugs are in, brackets completely sealed up, motors dropped on and bolted down, hydro steering is starting to come together. Boat and trailer tried to do a wheelie when we dropped the motor on! Gota get some fuel in the front tank for sure.

based on the picture... is your shaft long enough? Do you have a 20" or 25" shaft? Not trying to criticize just curious as well. I want to add a bracket to my boat an want to understand the shaft requirements.

Going with the white plastic and stainless insert, its over in the mulch bed just past the boat. I need an extra pair of hands to put it on easily so its been left off for a while.

The motor is the one off my old boat, 225 evinrude I need to make it run first and see if its going to last for any length of time. It is a 25in shaft the plan is to buy the extension to make it a 30 if it turns out to be OK. If not, I will repower and I have only lost the time to mount it up and check it out.

Eyes I will definitely. This week is pretty packed with work, but I am hoping to get some stuff done in the evenings after it cools down a bit.

Well, big milestone, IT FLOATS! Dropped it in the pond at high tide this evening, scuppers are 2+in above the water, outter most chine is about 1in ABOVE the water.

No water in the bilge, all the fittings, bolts, and thru hulls are tight. The boat has no fuel in it (-725 lb) but all the major pieces are on it. Top is not completely bolted down so I have it strapped down for trailer ride over there.

She will sit down real nice when you get some more weight in her. Looking good  The spray rails were a wise decision.

WILDMAN ,YOU'VE DONE REAL NICE WORK. THE BOAT HAS REALLY COME A LONG WAY. I JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST SC 72 CC. I'M JUST STARTING TO FIGURE OUT THESE SCUPPERS. IN YOUR LAST POST YOU SAID THE SCUPPERS WERE 2" ABOVE THE WATER LINE. DURING RESTORATION DID YOU RAISE THE DECK. ALSO WILL I SEE THIS BOAT DURING THE COMM. BASS SEASON NEXT YEAR.

Re: 23 CC minty green! Pipe Dream?

I am really itching to see how the spray rails work (both for 'lift' and for spray) thanks strick!

The floor is just like factory, right on the stringer boxes, except I needed to add a 1/2in strip of plywood for 'pitch' so they drained off to the outside. You will DEFINITELY see this boat out for comm bass next year. I hope to get a couple nice tuna days in THIS year!
