Re: Scupper/drain relocation ???

Alan it stays in the water. What he did was he cut the bottom off a thru hull fitting and placed it towards the transom ( cut thru the front face of the corners then it looks like 2 inch soft tubing white, connected that to the Rabud scuppers coming thru the transom. This might be confusing you might be able to see it in one of the pics, Diego.

Re: Scupper/drain relocation ???

I never have any problem with growth in the scuppers. If its installed right just above the water line the marine growth cant reach it. This solved all my problems with water coming in they work fantastic.

Alan, E-mail in on the way, I sent the other one to the AOL address. This is a visioneer scan copy converted to word, maybe it will open for you. I think the other one was a JPG format.

Re: Scupper/drain relocation ???

I was thinking about a friend who had a 20' Seaswirl w/sucppers and an I/O. He had to completly plug them as water would run from the deck into the engine well, not a good idea as it will radidly rust out the oil pan.
Did you get the e-mail I sent you? Gary

Re: Scupper/drain relocation ???

Wow, that is great ! A few questions:

Was this boat an i/o or o/b ? Would it matter ?

What exactly are the brand scupper /flaps that you used?

Did you make new drain holes in the cockpit instead of using the original ones ? ( I see you sealed the old exit holes )

Where exactly is the exit/drain hole located in relation to the water line ?

And, this alleviates the water flowing back in when weight is in the stern ?

Thx.

Alan
