Re: Bug Time

Hittin' the road at 5:00 AM Sunday, Rigged and ready!!!
No mixed gases for me Fr. Frank, been using a
Hooka for the last 14 years. 120 ft. max on that bad boy with 1 diver. 2 to 90 ft.
Usual depth 18-60 ft. is generally what we work.
Hope to see some of our fellow CSC'ers. I stick out like a
sore thumb with the "FLY" color and the tower, not to many 20's with that set-up.
See ya next week, enjoy the peace and quiet while I'm gone.
I know you will miss me :D----yeah right!!
Oh yeah, if ole Spider would care to join us, just hollar'
Ken

I spoke with No Bones, he said the giant lobster scuplture is there, but will be removed soon, and that he scouted some spots and found them occupied ;)

No bku, we go with 2 boats. My buddy has a 16ft BoneFisher
with the biggest Motorguide trolling motor. We bullied 15
starting at 12:00am, had them cleaned and in the freezer by
4:30am. Jumped into bed for a quick 3 hour nap, then loaded
up the 20SF to do the dive thing by 8:00am. The bugs were real scarce that day (Wed). Tried to bully that night only 1
due to the wind and chop. Thursday was looking bleak until we found a little coral patch that held 38 bugs. Needless to say we had to work our butts off to make our limit for the 2 day. All in all it was a good trip with crowdsdown to
nothing in the keys. Law enforcement was a-plenty, Airplanes, helicopters, and unmarked boats!!!
It was a good trip, also got to spend sometime with other
CSC members while we were down. Now it is back to the salt-mines tomorrow.
See ya, Ken

Ken, Glad too hear you all had a good time.Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet up with you but I had my hands full with surveyors and yacht brokers trying to get my Carolina boat sold.It was a very calm, easy mini season this year, very nice!

Capt. Chuck-
Spider Crab says that they taste just like chicken! Rat on an onion roll with extra BBQ sause sounds great. Nice pic! You are the king of photos! I have a bunch of oak logs drying out for the fire in November-I had to help the dredge guy out who was working in my canal.
