Wow, getting a jump on summer..

Nice work my friend: after all that fiberglass in the arms and itching all over, isn't that first ride worth it?!

I won't be much help on the prop numbers but it sounds like the boat does pretty good already speedwise.

Two thumbs up my Seacraft brother!

Chance,

I also ran a 13 3/4 dia. X 15P OMC SST prop when I had a 115 V-4 on my Seafari. That was a 1975 vintage motor when they were rated at the powerhead, so it was probably only about 100 hp at the prop. It used to turn 5500 rpm and I could run 32-34 anytime with a very heavy load, maybe 35 with a light load. Hole shot was great and it would plane at 12 mph. You'll get the best performance and durability if you prop the motor so it turns max rated rpm with the load you normally carry.

On motor height, you should be able to clearly see the AV plate when on plane, so it should be at least an inch above the bottom of hull.

Thanks very much guys, I'm sure ill get better number when I put a new correct prop on it. I'll let you know what it shakes out at when I come back from Cali

I took her out again, hoping to try to get into some chop to see how she does but all I could do was take beam seas due to a skinny channel. However I did go WOT in the harbor And noticed 29 trimmed and RPMs at 4800. I don't know how accurate my tach is so ill have to test it off the flywheel with a tool from work when I get back fom Cali.

CHANCE1234 04-22-2013 08:09 PM

I'm down in Petaluma. It was 86 today. I'm use to around 50 in MA.
