Found the fuel leak at least one of them. The hose is all dry rotted,cracked at the fill neck where it bends to head towards the tank. I saw this just by looking down the fill. Then took a picture with my phone from underneath.
Looks like I have two choices. Cut away at the second inside hull skin or install maybe a 3" access plate??? This is just to get to the threaded ground screw and hose clamps. Shoot me now!!

If I remember correctly there is at least two wrappings of cord on filler hose between the outside and inside of the hose. Other than what looks like dry rot in your picture these things are really, really tough. Can you get to the hose where it goes in the tank, disconnect, plug and then fill the hose and see if it leaks?

I can see the cracks on the inside also. I going to try a 2ft. hose attached to a funnel. Putting it inside the fill hose and the next time I add gas see if I still get fuel in the bilge.
maybe it is only leaking near the top. The season's almost over. The hole hose should be replaced I would think.

Has anyone done that lately? Is the hose foamed in?

My `89 20 was not foamed in but the 90 turn by the chine crushed the hose.
I lifted the hull off the trailer to get it out...with a forklift.

Thanks for the reply. How was it pulling in the new hose? Did you use a coupling
and pull it through? Out with the old in with the new. I'm thinking it didn't quite
go like that.

Much easier going in as the wire in the hose rusts badly and expands a bunch.
I have a nine inch pie plate. Probably could have gone eight.

that hose is long and has a sag under the fwd casting deck, that is where gas sits, if you fill and don't use the boat , gas sits and rots inside of hose..your 2001 is the same hull as my 98...call me again on your cell and I text you px of mine with floor out and what I did after new tank
