guys,

On page 2 of this thread is some pictures. You are looking at top row first item is a plastic cup, the second item is the cut out of the plastic cup that looks like a golf ball on the tee, then there is the sprinkler fitting female on the one side and male thread on the other. That’s the piece you cut half the female side off and drill two holes for the pull. And then the o ring. On the bottom row is two completed VORTEX’S ready to go. You must have been drinking one of those imported beers and that’s where you messed up.

well i got my VORTEX completed. i think... will be testing on saturday if i have a tow vehicle available to me. will let you all know how well they work in a 20

I got mine done, 1 worked pretty good the other needs some work as it wouldn't close. I will go back a re-work the flap as this must have been OPERATOR ERROR :D

i tried my vortex's on sunday. they work pretty good. i also need to try a different thickness for the flap. they still let in some water when u stand in the back of the boat..

One of the things I have done is support the golf ball to the tee is by putting one layer of black election tape over the inside wall of the flap & tee. In that way even if the flap breaks away from the tee part it still works. As far as a little leaking goes I still get a little myself perhaps with another material it would seal it up better like rubber the thickness of a tire tube. Any which way not bad for under $1.00

I will try going up in size a tad to a nickel and maybe a thin layer of silcone, I will report back.
