Ok lets get to the updates. Owner seems to be a good Egg. Pun intended. Very forthcoming.

Spoke w/ the owner of Yacht Doctors. He did the resto. 18k+. He cut out a part of the deck to find beautiful stringers. No work needed, but he did raise them 4" for the new deck. He knows SC`s! Thanks Carl! Had I/O at one point. New transom and deck. Marine ply and poly/glass both sides. New core for the cap as well. What is that funny point where the rub rail lives? Main Tank is SS. The hull should be true, but I will bring a 6 ft straight edge and check her bottom. I really break out with glass work , so I am quite pleased with this news.
Forgot to ask what the paint is.

Thanks to all who have taken calls and answered q`s. Fg1, Bowrider, Bones et all. I still can`t believe this is happening. All without the help of Google Earth. About a month ago, I was speaking with another member about the site and how special it is. Indeed. I feel both humble and grateful. I never dreamed I would have a 23 much less this treasure.

I`m still scrounging for my 20 and this is a whole new ball of challenge. The new 8 ft vhf antenna will be re-purposed as will many other goodies I`ve been hoarding. Hoarders: the SC reality show. What a ride so far.
Thanks ALL!!!
Sandy Luckyman
Can`t wait to put my eyes on her...schwinggg.

My guess is that the builder knew it would be tough to bend rub rail around that pointy bow, so he built it out for the rail to butt into.

I will try my best to ask questions of the elders before I jump into the pool before knowing how to swim. Thanks for the wetsuit. Temp was 75 last week. Yum. As Bushwacker has said before, be careful, he knows just enough to be a danger to himself or others.

WideOPen is such a wonderful friend. She has taught me a great deal. Other suspects and Bushwackers as well. I don`t know how to feel so sad and jazzzed at the same time. I have so much wonderful imagineering love invested. I don`t know how folks sell their children. My mind is all over the map. Invigorating if nothing else.

I have a 15 year old daughter that I would have sold 2 months ago...but now she made honer roll again so I guess I'll have to keep her...

Is it just me ? I've been able to understand everything Sandy is typing since he bought the boat ;)

I'm psyched that I will get to watch this come back to life on CSC! I know I'm not the only one on here who occasionally punches seacraft into craigs list with no intention of actually shopping. Never thought I would come accross an old racer, and never thought it would turn into this. Good stuff.

Would Ritttalin help? I have my dream and it just fell in my lap. A specialist in B town said you are borderline. I asked the doc for a pass. He gave me one. A young child was happy.

Ritttalin would slow me down....then the heart might stop pumping....learned something from my grandmother...... she never stopped working and lived to be 94

That boat has a good profile. I could see how you became entranced :)

Ken, you're not the ONLY one that can't wait ... we ALL can't wait.
It's going to be a LONG week ahead.
Sandy's enthusiasm is very contageous ... go Sandy!
I'm still researching 26' raceboats ... there weren't that many made.
Some of us, plus BigShrimpin, we'll find the history of your new puppy!
