I wouldn't rush into moving the console & leaning post back too far. Can't say enough about having lots of fishing room. With the ride these babies give, having the console a little forward isn't going to affect the ride THAT much, IMHO. Especially if there's a 4 stroke going on it. Looking Good!

Suggest you look at my post of 9-24-16 on ESTIMATING CG SHIFT WITH HEAVY ENGINES as well as link to the example to give you an idea of affecting cg. If you choose to move the console aft you might compensate by relocating something else like batteries or the seat for your robust friend. The example should be easy to follow by changing my values to yours- no hard math.
I admit based on what we normally see the console in the photo looks forward where the ride wil be slightly rougher but probably less spray.

Some recent progress. Some wiring and rubrail left. Anyone have any tips on bending the 3/4 taco stainless insert around corners. I will be installing that next Sunday. Any insight would be helpful.

SS Rail should be cut into 5 pieces. MEASURE FIRST.
Do not cut at same seams as the rubber rub rail. SS insert should overlap all rubber cuts.

Piece 1 start at nose with a screw hole just shy of dead center and measure approx 6-7 screw holes port & starboard sides to foward of the foward vents. Screw rail insert as you .

Pieces 2 & 3 port & strbd sides run aft to approx to the rear of the rocket launcher .

Pieces 4 & 5 screw as you go, make aft corner bends and have pieces meet at center line transom mark ..pieces should over lap a few inches in order for a precise seam trim.
A rubber mallet may assist you . I don't know how long each strip pieces you bought so measure them with a fabric tape first and verify.

Wow TJ your boat came out amazing!! Imho a White Rubrail with a Stainless Steel insert gives Seacrafts a very sheik, classy and sexy finish! I have a similar Taco on my 23 and have another (small size) going on my 18 SC. Looks awesome mane! Love it!
