Never worked with gel coat before, is it similar to auto body putty?? do you need any special equiptment?? will it take long to cure??

Re: Gel coat

Its Polyester resin with pigment (white).... with the consistency of latex paint....Curing time depends on amount of catalyst added and temp you are working in

Can be sprayed (better for large areas) allowing for a “ smoother” surface .... It can be rolled but the result usually leaves more of an "orange" peel surface which means more sanding to get smooth glossy surface.

Depending where you intend to use it would drive how I would apply it ..... I rolled (with a foam roller) the undersides of recored hatches .... I really don’t care how the surface comes out on the underside.

I think Scott is having technical difficulties. I got an email from him the other day and it contained the same thing.

Then again, it could be some type of secret Joisey lingo!
