Question about clay for radius's in one off molds
strick or island trader or anyone else in the know - is there a special kind of clay you use to do the radii or will good old sculpting putty from the craft store do?

Re: Question about clay for radius's in one off molds
To be honest I really do not know. I would think yes.
I used a product called Klean Klay. I got it from the fiberglass store. The only thing they said is to use clay and never caulk. Do not use anything with water in it. Use only non hardening clay..it is usually oil based. Make sure you put a couple good coats of PVA over your clay radius otherwise the glass will alligator. SuperSculpy is a good clay for small projects and it can be found in the craft stores... Composites one sells a commercial clay that works really well for larger projects.
