Two stopcock valves, one on each tank and then a 4 way stopcock valve which would let you choose tank A or B or both on or both off.

Make those stopcock valves Ball valves. stopcock valves are used in small bore tubing in hospitals and labs - sorry, just something I have had dealings with and didn't think anything of it at the time.

Shutoff valve at each tank and then the multi-port valve taking in either tank and out to the engine.

Most systems will not let you draw out of both tanks. Your fuel pump will draw out of the tank of least resistance and then suck it dry. Then you think something is wrong and look for the problem...which is you are out of gas on one tank.

Ask me how I know

FWIW:

# Three-Way Valves connect two permanent tanks to a single motor.
# Four-Way Valves connect three permanent tanks to a single motor.

If you have the old fiberglass tanks with gravity drain (NOT siphon drain) fuel feeds, you can pull off both tanks at once. I had twin tanks like these on an a 24' T-Craft. The tanks drained out of the bottom through a filter to the valve.
These tanks will also self-equalize fuel amounts.
