salt water pickup-inboard

I would like to change my original saltwater pickup thru-hull in my 23 seacraft savage. I do not know how it is fastened through the hull. I do not see a threaded section or nut on this thru-hull. Could it be just bonded?

It may be thread directly into a thru-hull seacock and thus you may not see the threads. You did not mention if there is, infact, a seacock at the trhu-hull point. Either way, it is movable with the proper repair of the old hole(s) in the hull. (In addition to the main thru-hull hole there will be generally three hulls into the hull for screws to prevent the seacock from twisting on the thru-hull portion of the device.)

Just my two cents. Good Luck.

thanks for the reply. Yes there is a seacock with a scoop on the outside of hull. It has three small screws. I do not see any screws on the inside of hull?? Are you saying that the sea cock should be threaded in to the scoop pickup on the outside of the hull?
