screw hole repair

I am going to remove/eliminate the bow rail & need advice on how to deal with patching up the exposed screw holes.

I use a counter sink on each hole to make it taper from wide on top to narrow on the bottom. Place a piece of blue painters tape over the hole on the underside. Mix thickened epoxy and fill hole. Cover with a piece of plastic wrap and smooth with a thin putty knife and allow to cure. Requires only a light sanding and maybe a little fill in places.

Is six10 suitable for filling holes?

Yes, very good for filling holes. But keep in mind the tube is only half the typical content of a regular caulk tube.

i like the plastic wrap idea. i usually use a razor blade to smooth it while it still wet.
