Re: Extra Fuel Tank

I owned a 77 Sceptre I/O and it had a 85 gal tank of which the specs said would give 72 gals useable. I would think your tank is larger than 58 gals. The 1978 spec sheet says a 40 gal optional tank...

Re: Sceptre or Tsunami whats the difference?

I think the name changed to Sceptre in 1975 or 1976. I had a 1977 model and it was the Sceptre. We bought the boat new and I think the name had just changed within the last year or so. The 1977 was...

Re: Interesting newer one:

I inquired about this boat a while back. The owner said it was actually registered as an Oceanpro and there were 20 of them built with the bracket. He said he personally helped build the boat. The...

Re: 20' sceptre?

My 1977 brochure has that boat listed and it looks to be the identical model that you listed above on the boat trader site. The specs are 19'8" length, 7'6" beam, 1650 lbs. It has 16 degree...

Re: dry weights new 23cc vs old hulls

My 1988 brochure which said the 23 CC weighed 3100 lbs. also listed the 23 Sceptre at 3300 lbs. Must have been making the boat the same as in 1985 since the listed weight is the same. The 20 CC is...

Re: dry weights new 23cc vs old hulls

It does sound fishy and maybe it is including the engine weight. The brochure says under the specs that "weight , boat only : 3100 lb." I get the feeling that since they were advertising each...

Re: dry weights new 23cc vs old hulls

According to the info I have the 1978 model CC weighed 2650#'s without engine. I suppose the other year models by Potter probably were the same. I also have an old Tracker brochure from 1988 that...

Re: Start of the 21 Production?

I had a 1969 20 seacraft and the layout sounds just like yours Bacdoc. The new 20 has the exact same hull as the old but the storage is not as good because of the reason you stated. That is why I...

Re: Start of the 21 Production?

I have been watching boattrader for a few months because I may decide on getting a used 21 in the near future. The oldest one I have seen anywhere for sale has been a 1998. A few times I have seen...

Re: weight of 18... snapped axle

I have a 1978 Seacraft specifications book. It lists the dry weight at 1400 lbs. Of course you will have to add the engine weight, fuel and anything else on the boat such as t-top, gear, fishing...

Re: seacraft

Look under the REPAIRS/MODS section on this site and there is a topic DECALS and someone there has listed where you can read info that was on this site a while ago about ordering decals. Hope this...

Re: 140 Suzuki 4-stroke on SeaCraft 20?

Since I am probably going to buy a new SC 20 within the next year and will probably get the Honda 130 or the Optimax 135 the above posts are very informative. If anybody has one with the 135 or 150...

Re: New 21 seacraft

Would want a 200 or 225,but somewhat leary since it comes from factory with mercury or honda. Have heard some bad things about the 200 and 225 optimax. Do they have the problems worked out in the...

Anybody have any opinions about the new 21 seacraft? Probably going to buy a new seacraft within the next year. Was planning on a 20 but the 21 sure looks good. Have owned two seacrafts in past-20'...
