Re: twin 140 zukes on a 23cc?
et23,
Keep an eye on EBAY this time of year. There are a lot of cheep 2-strokes available. Also, Suzuki 250 four-strokes that are being traded out for 300's.
Nice Suzuki 250 for $12,500.

Re: twin 140 zukes on a 23cc?
Don’t know your budget but I purchased a pair of used Yamaha 130’s from a dealer and rebuilt them. I have about $3,000 invested, $500 to purchase them and $2500 in parts to rebuild them. Performance...

Re: Seaboard
I replaced the original teak dash on my 23 with Azak PVC plastic. I use it in the home construction industry for trim on high-end houses. It is lighter and less expensive than starboard and can be...

Power to tach's on yamaha outboards.
I re-powered my 23 with twin-rebuilt 2-stoke Yamaha 130’s last season and have had no luck getting the tach’s to work. I kept the analog gages from the previous motors because they were in good...

Re: How to get the boat on blocks
I built a cradle out of 2x10s and a couple of blocks out of alternating 2x4s. Like Fish-on said lower the bow and prop the cradle in place. Then I used a floor jack to lift the boat and pull the...

Navman
Has anyone purchased Navman electronics for their boat? I am looking at a Navman 5605 GPS w/the fuel module, and a VHF. Any positive or negative feedback would be appreciated.

Re: Yamaha mid-section
No, the mid-section is all I have left. I bought it to repair the Yamaha 115’s that came on the boat, but I found a pair of low hour 130's and replaced them instead. I will have a ’85 Seacraft...

Re: 23 SF O/B weight specs
I re-powered with twin rebuilt Yami 130’s last season, it’s a nice set-up on a 23. I have a 34mph cruse @ 4000rpm burning about 13-14 gph, with a 42+mph WOT.
The motors weigh 720lbs for the pair...

Try FPmarine.com- They have salvage aluminum and plastic tanks for different boats. I picked up a 100 gal. plastic tank for $150 bucks.

Re: 89 23cc fuel tank
Fish-On-
Cut the rear bulkhead out, this is the first step in pulling the tank, and it’s not a big job. Check the condition of the lower corners of the tank. If it has rot I think you will see...

Re: 89 23cc fuel tank
Fish on-
My tank went in my 85-23cc last year, it was a bitch to get out! The foam holds the tank like no--tomorrow and if you have a 140-Gal. tank it's bigger than the hatch. I had to cut mine...
