I'm not sure what you call them, but I know I have a few. You can probably carefully disassemble one and install it on the wires on your drive.

Let me know where you are and I could prolly just...

Deck Plate Replacements

I need to replace the deck plates that fit into the recesses in the bilge hatch and in the motorwell.

I’ve read that the Viking deck plates fit into the recesses, but they make screw-in, pop-in,...

Re: Fiberglass Supplier

I was looking at the US Composites site and their prices are the closest I found to Mertons.

I called Mertons and got Joe Merton. I faxed him a list of what I wanted, called him back and paid. ...

Re: T top help on 23cc

You could drill an oversized hole, like 1/2" diameter. Then wax a 1/4" bolt, put a nut on it, and epoxy it into the hole. After the epoxy sets up, unscrew the bolt and you’ve got threaded epoxy and...

Fiberglass Supplier

I need to order some supplies and I came across these guys:

http://www.mertons.com/index.html

Their 1708 seems to be very low and their WR is cheaper than most.
The 50” 1708 is $8.00/yd...

Re: hatteras NC

I think you’d be fine. I was in Hatteras from Sep 12-19 and the weather was good all but one day. On Tuesday it was slick as glass coming in around 4:30pm. We were in my friend’s Proline 251, but...

Re: Anybody been to this place???

They’ve got a lot of stuff, and I do mean a LOT.

As far as their prices, some of their stuff is priced higher than new, some equal, and some lower.

As far as the employee’s knowledge of what...

Re: Fuel Flow Meter/Gauge Questions

Just my $0.02, but I’ve got a LMF200 with a couple of fuel flow meters and I’ve never been able to get it to the point to where I trust it. The whole system has been back to Lowrance twice and the...

Re: 23 CC Engine Mounting

I just bought the 225 Opti on THT.

The deal contains everything except gauges and the prop. I didn’t want the non-SmartCraft gauges and the prop is a 15x13. My dealer said the engine would be...

23 CC Engine Mounting

I’m looking for some advice on the repower of my 1974 23 SF. I know the subject has been beaten to death, but I’ve seen little dialogue on any mounting options besides bracket/no bracket.

I, too, think you’ll be fine. A friend of mine has a Proline 251 with a Garmin GPS mounted on the console. He had a hardtop installed last year and went through the same dilemma.

I don’t think...

Re: Boat support stands / trailer transfer

Let me preface this by saying that I’m a structural engineer.

In order to get the beam high enough, you’d have to stack the blocks pretty high. If the blocks you’re using are normal CMU, they...

Re: 23' CC Power - new member - first post

I thought he would need a 25” shaft on the stock transom. I think I recall measuring mine and it’s 25” from the transom cap to the bottom of the V.

Is there a reason that mounting a 30” motor...

Re: 23 w/ twin 225 OPTIs....

I expect that is the case Peter. My 23 SF has twin Merc 200’s on the transom and it’s bad to suck air into the props when the seas kick up.

What’s the best way to prevent it?

Re: performance of twin 150's on 23

I’ve got twin Black Max 200’s on the transom spinning 21” props and it struggles to plane on one if the water isn’t pretty flat. Full tabs and full tilt on the other engine really helps

Re: What is the best outboard, Honda, Yamaha, Merc

From my experience, a lot of weight should be placed on dealer support availability in the area where you’ll be keeping/using the boat.

Where I live, Suzuki and Yamaha dealers are not nearly as...

Re: Tee and Sweatshirts from 2006

I’d like to have a couple of short sleeve XL T’s if you get an order up.

Any chance you may be able to reverse the colors, as in navy blue lettering on a white shirt?

I’m not trying to be...
