Re: Seacraft to Conch rebuilds

I think it's a pretty sweet rebuild and its quality work without a doubt. I do think it should remain a SeaCraft but I can't hate on it seeing as though Conch is doing so much work and transition to...

Re: Real world #'s on a 20' CC with a 140 4S Suzuki?

An etec would not be a bad option, I like four strokes but the etecs are solid by all accounts and 165HP at the prop sure sounds nice. I hear the Suzy 140 is really around 130, I have no facts to...

Re: Real world #'s on a 20' CC with a 140 4S Suzuki?

20' SF on a non flotation bracket, Suz 140 4s. I raised my deck 2.5 inches and it's self bailing with lite loads/fuel. If I fish four grown men and a full tank or just have a full load in the back of...

Re: Doing away with scuppers

Just the thought of it makes me nervous. Relying solely on electrical in a boat... no thanks. Even with two redundant systems I still don't like it.

I just ordered ping pong ball scupper from TH...

Re: rebuilding/repowering a 20' center console

A 175 would be my choice if I could pick one. The 140 works well and sips gas but I'd like more power to plane easier when i'm fishing with a heavy load. Topping out at 40mph is ok, but i wouldnt...

Re: 1977 20ft Master Angler Restoration

I am asking because I really do not know.... But wouldn't the point where you go from the standard stingers to the new "knees/stringers" become a weak spot since they are simply butted up against...

Re: trailering concerns

I towed mine home from the shop yesterday and was suprised when I monitored my gas mileage how much it dropped. It's a 07 Chevy Silverado 4.8 liter V8. I usually get 16.8 mpg normal driving highway...

Re: Fuel tank

I've got the same engine on a bracket (non flotation) and it works well. If I were to pick I'd put the 150 if not the 175 on it though. I like to have extra power and a little more than 40mph top end...

Re: Advice on repower...

I'm not running an etec but the 300 has all the parts and pieces and you'll never regret the extra power when you need it.

Spend the 1K now and you won't ever have to second guess if you should...

Re: 20 CC Questions - Self Bailing

I would add that if you beach your boat at Longpoint park which pushes the bow up a bit some water can come in the back as well becuase the scuppers/ping pong balls will be just below the water line....

Re: 20 Master Angler 115 ETEC v. 150 ETEC

With my suzuki 140 on a 20SF, I sometimes feel underpowered. Especially if it kicks up a bit offshore and I have 4 people in the boat.

Not a problem when there are only two people but I would...
