I would consider a material designed for marine applications, like Coosa Composites (http://www.coosacomposites.com/). We use a ton of this at Proline...

That's correct. The way Seastar helms work, the larger the capacity, the greater the steering effort, but the less turns LTL. If you get the big pump, with lots of effort, the Power Steering pump...
