I have the EXACT same problem with my 95 130 Yamaha! Runs fine in water but on muffs the alarm goes off after a few minutes. I put a bungie around the muffs to tighten them up and better seal around...

My 68 20' SF has a 130 Yamaha, does fine but then it may be reletive to what you want. I wanted less weight on the back and a 130 was the largest 4 cyl at the time.

It goes more than fast enough...
