Thanks. Ordered direct from Optima Batteries online. It's called the Troll Fury setup. This time of year, usually run a $50 rebate per battery too. Ask them.

They definetly stretch over time. Mine was pretty tough to get on each year the first time I put it all up. Wax on the snaps helps them break loose after a long Sturgeon season too ... :D

Moving my batteries out of the bilge and upsizing for the voltage drop made the size of the cables too big for the grommet on the power head. Plus, ever try to steer a motor w/ monster cables...

I moved mine from bilge to console. Figured around 130# moved 8 feet forward might help.....oh yes it did.

Off and running! Nice work on the tank tumbler. We have used a nice tree and rig the tank on ropes and do it the HARDWAY with a 3' chunk of galv chain in there....

Get that baby coated before the re-install. Zinc or Coal Tar or ....
You got it out, might as well do it right. Might even think about a secondary vent line too. makes filling the larger tanks...

If I woulda took the cap off mine I would go with the rigid/stainless. The lid was on a little squirley and I didn't want to bust it loose and start over so
I opted for the 'ol stock look. ...

Starboard won't adhere to any resin. Thats why he said PVC board. I glassed Ply in my re-wire. Three layers of glass and resin in the screw holes...I think it'll be okay for a while.
