the only sure fire test I found is drill and inspect the drill chips in your hand.
Mine passed all the usual tests, banging with a rubber mallet etc but it was still rotted out.

urethane foam

Looking around for a cheapo core for my T top roof,
I tried some 3/4 inch insulation urethane foam from home depot,
peel the silver backing off one side,
slit it into 1 inch squares w/ utility...

A large unsupported layup can easily buckle due to sun heat.
A molded lip won't always prevent it from twisting.

No I'm not John Wills, I found his books on "aircraft spruce and supply" when I was ordering glass cloth.

I notice from reading the contents list from seacast it almost reads as if they don't want...

I just got through doing my transom w/ seacast,
its interesting stuff.

Use unwaxed poly resin,
promote it with DMA .05% by volume.
Add some cabosil to prevent the resin from draining out of...
