Thanks for the input. I have considered doing it myself. I have a hvlp gun and plenty of sanders. I may have to look into the paints you guys used.

I would like to get my 23 sceptre repainted.What is the best paint? and what would a paint job cost. I have very little repair work and is basically a sand and shoot. Thanks

You said dream boat! That would be a yanmar 315hp with a mercruiser bravo 1 x drive . I have it in mine, very efficient and fast. I cruise at 30-32 mph burning 6 gph. Wide open is about 50 mph.

I have a 315 Yanmar/Bravo1 diesel ,3-4 mpg,cruise at 30-35 depending on seas,48-50 mph wide open, 79 scepter/half tower.very efficient.I don`t know how to post pics.

I have a 315 hp Yanmar/Bravo1 x drive in my 79 sceptre.
50 mph wide open,32 mph cruise 6-7gallons per hour.It is the same weight as a 454 mercruiser. It is a very economical boat.

I am looking for a 23 footer.I live in the Tampa
Bay area and havent had any luck in the paper or
trader.Iwould like one that needs a new motor ,but a good to average hull.This site is a great tool.
