Transom replacement 1973 23' Seacraft OB, CC.

I have a 1973 23' Seacraft, center console and outboard version. The transom needs replacement. I cannot do the work myself.

You're fortunate. Vent hose on mine came out of a small hole at a right angle near the top of what you call a pillar. Could not reach it by hand, let alone get it through that hole and out to the...

MARLIN...I did not have any foam around the fuel filler tube. Just the 4 bolts holding the filler tube in. Those were difficult to get at but I was able to remove them. I just undid those 4 bolts...

Vent hose is in. A messy job putting both these hoses in but
it needed to be done. Ethanol in the fuel really did a job on the fuel filler hose. It was more or less rotted out.

The only way to pass that vent hose is by cutting a small (4") inspection port at the top inside left of the strut/conduit that runs from the deck to the gunwale where both the fuel filler hose and...

Job done. Brought the hose up from the tank with tie wraps connecting both inch and one half hoses. Secret....spray lots of SILICONE spray on the hoses, near the connection. Slipped right on...

So what you are saying is to thread the inch and one half I.D. hose DOWN from the gunwale to the tank after connecting it securely to the old hose? I have connected the old and new hose with tie...

I live on Cape Cod and have replaced the teak drop down door that allows access to the stern well and outboard. Have had it in place for over 3 years with no yellowing.

Moving batteries

It looks like someone just set the wooden wedges up on the trailer fender. Probably used as chocks for the tires.
