Default Factory Installed Bracket?

The broker on this claims this bracket was factory installed. It's on a 1987 which I assume is a CSY hull? Has anyone ever seen this? it looked like an I/O conversion to me.

Cute.....

Nice half skeg on the motor.

Looks to me like the tabs are not lined up with the bottom of the hull. I'm aware of the variable deadrise thing but those tabs are almost parallel to the ground.

What kind of rollers are those right above the fenders? Are they some new type of poly?

Yep - all of the above - Mako Console & original style and I've read, often splitting, Gill bracket. Looks like it offers 6 pounds of floatation But it is on Nantucket - is that where you are?

Tell the broker he is mistaken. It is an I/O conversion. GIL marine was exclusively aftermarket back in '87.
However, in 1988-90, the GIL bracket was offered as a factory install on the 6 of the 34' Wellcraft Scarab "Raider", a boat that was available only to law enforcement agencies and the military.
I rigged 4 of them.

Those old Gill brackets were made of steel and they liked to rust from the inside out. Gill doesn't even make that style any more.
Not much get's by you guy's. Good eye.
I'm guessing on the wood wedge blocks. Maybe a roller broke.

It looks like someone just set the wooden wedges up on the trailer fender. Probably used as chocks for the tires.
