Re: 20ft SeaCraft With Twin V4's??? Just Thinking OL..

Now we're talking... I don't know how long ago you are talking about, but when I was living in the Keys in the late 80's there was a 23 in Islamorada with a pair of 2.5 Bridgeport Offshore 260's. I...

20ft SeaCraft With Twin V4's??? Just Thinking OL..

Anyone tried this?? Of course finding a 20ft and rebuilding/widening the transom to fit twins would be the first thing. Go with 25" engines and raise the transom to 27-28" in the center would clear...

Re: 20 footer on E-bay

A 200hp 500lb(with the prop and oil) Yam sitting 30" behind the transom is way more than the boat was designed for. 500lbs 30" back is the same as 700lbs bolted to the transom. You'd be better off...

Re: Suzuki 225 4 Stroke

Another thing is Suzuki's prop pitch's are not comparable to the real world pitches. The 16" props may be different, but their V6 14-15" props are about 3" high. A 14.25 x 20" Suzuki prop will run...

Re: New OB Installation Ques.

Take Ed's prices to your dealer and see if they'll match it. If not ask what he wants to rig it if you buy it from Ed. Buy the controls and wiring harness from him.. Ed's not going to be any better...

You'll need to call Ed. They've got left overs most of the time that are not listed on the site.

Re: Winterize: spray motor w/ CRC ?

Actually I would recommend Corrosion Block for all the painted metal surfaces. Remember everything you spray on an IO engine will eventually wind up in the blige, so be ready for that.. Then use CRC...

Re: Prop for Honda 130

Rick, this sounds like the classic example of a worn out alum prop or it's completely the wrong design. I'm pretty sure Honda uses Merc gearcases so all Merc props will fit it. Overtons.com sells...

Re: Dunk, Welcome Aboard

Scott, it was a 71' 21ft Cutty. When I got it had had the Volvo stern drive taken out of it. The 71 21's was the hull OMC used to build their endurance boat hulls from over in Naples. It had flat pad...

Re: Which outboard engine oil

Sec, yes you still need to decarbon...I don't recommend any additives if you deacrabon the engine every 50-75hrs. It's simple procedure with 3 gal tempo fuel tank at stated in the link above. Throw a...

Re: Dunk, Welcome Aboard

Thanks Guy's....

Your right Egg, but I'vew got a fresh pair of 01 115 Johnsons ready to hang on one if I find one I like. I know where two 23ft and 20ft Cutty's are, but I can't go that way...

Re: Which outboard engine oil

The lubrication battle was won 50 years ago.. They all lubricate just fine, even the Wally World special.. The difference between OEM oils and say Exxon and Texaco is the amount of carbon inhibitor....

Re: 1988 23 ft Seacraft Tracker

1996 big block OMC's.... You want to get the serial number off the engine and take it to a Bomb dealer. Have him run the number for the work history. Certain serial number runs of the big V6's had...

Re: the end is near

Yes, the boat looks nice, but you shouldn't have put Awlgrip on the bottom. Awlgrip specifically states it's not for underwater use. Now this isn't a problem as long as you trailer the boat and never...

Blackfin, this is my first post here. Jason asked me to add what I can...

That 150 Yams is a butt kicker from what I've seen and it's probably right at the 10% max(NMMA)165hp at the prop.. But...
