I plan to pull one or two lines from the top in the spring when the rock are shallow but they'll be primarily for storage in the fall. I'm certainly not going to pull a bird from up there. If I set the drags fairly light, I wouldn't think it would be too difficult.
I've heard the same stories about trying to retrieve a rod w/ a freight train bluefin pulling on the other end. Not something I want to experience. I have another center rod holder mounted low on the splash well door. When I use that, I have some braces that I put in place so that any force applied to the door is transferred to the transom.
Hopefully, I'll have those fish pics for you in a couple of weeks. [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] I'm coming down to fish the CBBT on 12/6 and again on 12/13 and 12/14. I doubt I'll get in the TF tourney though. I'm still learning the area. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]
