There is alot of good info on those brackets throughout the site .... try the search function ....
I've personally done a bit of "looking" into those brackets and if that’s the way I proceed, Seamark (Potter Bracket) wins hands down in my eyes. Several of us saw a "new" aluminum bracket on a boat at a boat show. The boat had been demo'ed and already showed signs of corrosion, where the bracket was already in need of re-powder coating. I'm not sure of the buoyancy #’s with the other brands but I think the Potter bracket has more buoyancy then its aluminum counterparts. I've seen this bracket in person, not yet on the boat, and its awesome. A real nice feature of the Potter bracket is that it is totally sealed (you could throw it in the water and it would float on its own... the other brackets need to seal against the transom to create the flotation chamber. I think we have all heard of a boat or two where the bracket is full of water) I've also seen(pictures) a 23 SeaCraft with the twin engine version mounted ....
