How fast do you want to go? With twin 115's Etecs, it's estimated we'll do over 50mph ... Moesly raced with twin 100's and would go over 55 in the 21 with lots of fuel aboard for the ocean races. The 21 was designed to be a "mean racing machine"...
The wide spread mountings of the engines is to position them behind the flat panels rather than a step ... better traction with less water turbulence. BTW, the steps on the 21 are 3", great for slicing thru the water.
