Re: Anyone know 27 SeaCraft CC History, Production #'s
You're correct about the production numbers, but most of them were center consoles with cuddies. They were made from '84-'85, and in '87 prior to Tracker getting them.
As far as I know, prior to Johnny Morris, only one other was made with twin diesel inboards, that I sold pre-construction to a doctor in Palm Beach County. As of 5 years ago, that boat was still down Marco Island way. It had twin 165hp "natural" Volvo diesels.
Both the single IB and twin IB 27 footers were made with pocket drives. The 27 with twin IB's could actually get into hull depth water (about 2.5') by virtue of small diameter propellers that actually did not extend below the keel, and the rudders were almost exactly keel draft.
It was also produced with twin Seadrives, twin OB transom, and twin IO setup. As I just noted in another post, the Royal Bahamian Defense Force bought 3 OB models in early '85.
