How far did you get before it got cold? I'm guessing that you will be glassing as soon as you can get it warm enough. At the rate you are going, you will be done before my transom is solid - no race there!

I just got done taking mine out so I will answer for him. I used a sawzall, grinder, chisel... Whatever you have to to get the skin off. Then I got a big wrecking bar and sharpened it and beat it down from the top prying layer by layer off. ( you should be able to split the inside sheet of 3/4 off whole). At the end I actually got in between the first layer of glass and the wood and split that layer off nicely. A little grinding and it looked great.




It is not fun though.....
