Did yours also have the 70 gal tank which was 5 inches longer than the coffin deck opening?
The extra 20 gallons or 140 lbs of weight is forward which I suspect was to improve CG, balance, and ride.
The glass work on my 89 20 is also surprisingly good, but lighter than Potter builds.
Hull shape can also be adversely affected by age/rot and trailer set up.
Bunks which fall short of the transom or too few rollers can do the same thing.
Many BW foam sandwich hulls look like the moon because of this.
