Glass bracket over aluminum any day.
The last few new Armstrongs ive seen werent very impressive. Mounting flanges out of whack (big gaps mating to the transom. Dead flat transom too trust me), welding slag painted over, lots of pinholes in the welds, nonskid lines wandering all over the place...
No corrosion with a glass bracket either!
