After doing a lot of reading I decided to go with a dual battery set up on my 20' Seafari, with a Blue Seas ACR to allow charging of both batteries. Between this thread: Battery Switch and the instructions that came with the ACR itself I came up with this wiring diagram:
![]() I have a 1987 Force 125 outboard. According to an online manual I found it has a maximum alternator output of 7 amps. Does that sound right? Is this going to be sufficient for the set up I have planned? Does 60 amp CB's sound right for this set up? Is there any reason not to do very short runs of wire(3-4") between the CB's and the ACR? I would really appreciate any advice or input anyone can give me. |
