20' Livewell
My '69 20' has a livewell under the starbord stern seat. Does anyone know how to get it working? What pump and how to plumb it?
Thanks, |

Re: 20' Livewell
free flow, with a screw-in inspection plate cover for when it's not in use.

Re: 20' Livewell
I think that's the original design, right? Do you use it like that? No pump?
Thanks, |

Re: 20' Livewell
Mine got "modified" a bit so I don't use a free-flow system anymore. The "modifications" that were done to mine exceed what most are wanting to do though.

Could you explain what you did?

Re: 20' Livewell
The base of the livewell was raised to floor level. Water enters via a pump, overflow is out the port side of the boat, it drains by pulling a plug and letting the livewell water exit through the scuppers in the transom.
Potentially hard to understand based on my description, see the link below: link |
