Default The thin strip of teak on top of the console...

How does one get this thing off? I checked real quick and couldn't find any screws anywhere. Is it glued on?

Thanks,
Paul

That's for the 20' CC, by the way.

Thanks,

Mine has four screws from the bottom side, three that I could access and the fourth inside the glovebox couldn't be found, or I should say it wasn't worth dealing with getting it off in my case. I had the three screws out and was going to sneak the teak off of the fourth screw after wetting it down to soften it up around the threads. If I got it out in one piece I would have epoxied the teak back the the screw. Mine was pretty grainy. I thought I was gonna replace mine but I was able to refinish it well enough in place so I just did that.

Ah. I quickly looked underneath the console with a flashlight and couldn't see any screws. I'll check again.

Yours looks nice. Mine is in great shape, but I wanted to get all of the teak off my boat. It's beautiful stuff and I appreciate the look. But I want low maintenance as far as that stuff goes.

Yup. I like your console better since it's taller and has more space for mounting electronics.

...

Wanna trade?
