Re: "THE VORTEX"
Ha Abl
You got to remember this is not space science this is a low tec $1.00 for both sides product. I thought my instructions were pretty good but if you have any questions let me know and I will fill you in. Basically you cut one piece of pvc take some tape and wrap the diaphragm or the finger of a glove on it, then slide a o ring over the top and have a pull ring to remove it from the top of your scupper hole at the end of the day. You just push it in and pull it out at the end of the day. That’s it, I think you forgot to first drink one beer before you got started. If you would have drank the beer you probably would have seen how to do this much quicker. These things realy work great I have been drifting in Seas up to 4'to 6' with no water coming in. Ha John thanks for posting the pictures for me did you get the one with the green glove finger?? FellowShip |

Re: "THE VORTEX"
Ok, I re-read it again.
But first, I opened a beer and started to drink it - that was the missing part for me ! It is absolutely imperative that you drink a beer while reading the directions ! Now, I know how to make it - most versions of it too. Aaah, alcohol ! However, how does it work ? The plastic cup version: the "T" is taped to the vertical, bottom part of the male threads, the "golf ball" is bent over, partially covering the hole. This gets put into the scupper hole from the cockpit. So, if you were to step aft in the boat while she is not moving, the bent over "golfball" would act as a flap and cover the hole - not letting water in ????? The (2) track tape cover - no idea what you mean - should I drink vodka for that one ? Anyway, if that's it - it's great ! Is that it ? Oh, and what keeps the thing positively plugged into the scupper hole ? - Alan |

Re: "THE VORTEX"
RECALL NOTICE ################
HOME DEPOT STORE #1903 - MIAMI, FLORIDA IT HAS COME TO OUR ATTENTION that the sight of men with condoms, bending over, going down on their cockpits installing the VORTEX has caused an increase in traffic on the ICW as scores of gay men follow Fellowship to the "inlet". This recall reccommends using 4 o-rings instead of only 2 and using a condom only once. Home Depot offers no warantee, express or implied, as to the suitability of this product for any intended purpose. [ December 09, 2003, 09:00 PM: Message edited by: Otto Cuyler ]

Re: "THE VORTEX"
Ha Abe
You got it, it’s really simple, I told you that you needed a beer first. We are always wanting to make things harder than it really is. Perhaps if I made more moving parts every one would have got it on the first time, or said it will cost $10.00 a side guys would have bought into it quicker. As for your last question the o ring keeps it stuck in the scupper and will not come out with out pulling it up with the finger pull. Oh by the way you only need one o ring per side. Re: "THE VORTEX"
“CONDOM VORTEX SAVES MARRIAGE”
Good day mates, talking to ya from down under in kangaroo country here is Australia off the great barrier reef. I’ve been fishing down here for tuna for the last 20 years and have always had problems with water coming up through those deck scuppers and spout in water like a hump back for all these years. My wife use to go out with me on the tuna trips to help hall in the catch but that water on the deck finally finished it for her and she stopped going out with me. Well as time went on there was a few Sheath’s that would stop by the dock and kind a liked me and my boat, well since my wife stopped going I started inviting some of them on board for a day of fishing and well you know other extra activities when the fishin got kind a slow. Well as time went on my wife started getting suspicious of me not coming home as quickly, and fishing all the time so she decided to go one day on a tuna trip and that’s when it happened. I told her to go into the storage box in the leaning post seat and get me a can opener for a Fosters beer I was wanting to open, well she looked into the box and pulled out a condom. If we ware on land she would have done a walk about there and then but because we were 20 miles out she looked at me as to have me walk the plank when she said “WHET IS THIS”. Thanks to quick thinking and “THE VORTEX” I said, that’s my extra collapsible diaphragm for my Vortex and quickly open up the package and taped it on sticking it in the scupper, showing her how good it works. Well it worked great and she kind a believed me. I guess not enough evidence to sentence me to divorce. Any way she not goes fishing with me every time I go, she says because I fixed the water on the deck problem but I thing she didn’t really believe me. Thanks again C. FS - can you resend the picks with the Army Issue Rubbers - could not find them (Yeh, Fellowship seems to like his condoms in Olive Drab - maybe he thinks the cammo will let him sneak in unnoticed and quiet like, hehehe) [ December 10, 2003, 11:45 AM: Message edited by: John R ]

Re: "THE VORTEX"
I don't know about you guys, but if my wife finds a condom on (any of) my boats, you'd better have Fellowships WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS taped to it or you'll be bidding on my 23CC on EBAY due to divorce...

Re: \"THE VORTEX\"
JUst got my material from HD, all I need is the cups now but its very simple, the # 436 005 makes it very simple to find the correct part. I had to get O rings 7/8 X 11/16 X 3/32 # 13's but they look like they will do fine. Film at 11
