Got the transom in before the rest of demo. Really tried to save outer skin but it was pretty shot. Owner wasnt kidding when he said he hit something!
Plan is to screw some mdf panels underneath the 2 inside panels to pull everything back true and fair, and give a form for the glass to get the step back how its supposed to be. Wow. That one is going to need some TLC. There is no doubt you will have her ship shape in no time though.

TLC is right... Knew i overpaid!
The mdf worked out great and pulled it all back into shape. Used some spray foam to fill some gaps on the inside then shaped it. Left the step a tad tall and proud on the inside of the hull so the glass going on the outside will have a lil more depth to get a buildup on. 2 layers of 1603 over everything then a couple more overlapping the steps. Looks like your well on your way,
The older Moesly hulls have a certain cool factor about them. She will be nice once complete. History preserved

Musta chiseled and grinded 50# of putty and crappy glass outta this thing. All downhill from here
 Couple layers of biax throughout, extra on the steps. Keel got quite a bit of some heavier stuff. Chines will get some after i pull temporary screws for spray rail out... This is awesome as it is the same as mine. I will never keep up with you but at least I can watch what you do and try to mimic. I noticed in one picture yours had the same “mound” over the keel that mine has. It appears as though you ground yours out, was that wood under there? Maybe I am not making sense but I will take a picture of mine to make sense but just curious if it’s purpose other than probably just strength.

Ill tell ya this Don, its still not as fun as a water level!
Savage, yea there was a length of plywood running down the keel with a layer of roving over it. In my case it was termites mulch and cockroaches. They even had some visegrips stuck in a pool of resin from when they tried the repair section. Theres also a hump going side to side separating motor and tank areas, which was part of the grid where a bulkhead was that got cut down. Under that was about an inch of putty and resin. I chiseled/peeled ground all that crap out and put some 36oz uni down first then a 1700 then an 1808. Had some resin left over so put another lam down the “beaching area” in the bow.

Bulk of the stringers are in. Still have some shorties to go in the stern from bulkhead to transom. The grid will make more sense as bulkheads get put in...
