My 23 was converted from inboard to bracketed outboard without knees below deck to firm up the transom. The exact thing that Strick is saying has occurred. The prior owner didn't know to do the right thing. The stern cap has stress cracks on both sides-and this boat has an enclosed transom because it was already set-up that way for the inboard.

I have seen 62 on the gps on slick calm water still climbing
but ran out of space, with the top it feels funny
( might fly). I still need to rase my motors some.Nice cruse
speed 34mph @ 3000 48mph @4000 With a set of 24 pitch 4 blades.but no hole shot.

Had plenty of gas to spare but i think they will suck the tank inside out @ 5500 in about an hour and a half.
