Come on in the waters fine jondavies. Why should we be the only loons who put more money in these 40 year old boats than their worth or we'll ever get back out of them. Sounds like you got the fever also. I say ask what he's got into the rig and see how bad he wants out. But seeing's decieving, You see they all or most need or are gonna need a new transom and deck and you should know by now how long it takes and how much it'll cost. If you pass on this one there will be more, but that "look's like a nicen!"
good luck and welcome aboard wildbill |

Thanks for the sage words, guys.
I heard through the grapevine from someone who'd looked at it that there's a fair amount of internal rot so I'm going to pass ... not that I'm a chicken or anything ![]() I had hopes for this one but the search continues! |

Thanks Brett - that's a beautiful restoration. If you were closer to So Cal I'd be all over it.
There are soooo many nice boats in North Carolina. So many infact, that I've looked into shipping a boat across country. I got quotes in the $2000-$2500 range (though didn't get far enough into the process to determine the nitty gritty details). If you could factor some of the shipping cost into your price, I'd be seriously interested. Last edited by jondavies; 02-23-2013 at 01:05 AM. |
