Default transom

I am in the process of rebuilding a 1979 18 seacraft. I cut the floor out and the hull is solid. The transom is also going to be done. can you rebuild a transom from the back of the boat instead of the inside. Like I said before the floor is already out and I was going to try and pull the whole liner out to get to the transom. I don't want cut out the back of the boat. I sent pictures to Trayder. I think I might be getting in over my head but it sure is fun. From what I have read this is a pretty good boat. I also took all the foam out. Do you have to make sure to back the exact amount or can you just fill it up? Thanks for the time. Rob
