Congrats on the Seacraft purchace.
I have a Mercury Verado 250 4 stroke on my 23 and am just a hair past 40 knots WOT but be careful the fuel burn at high rpms is overwhelming these motors will save you fuel at cruse but not at the top. My transom is still the old style cutout and I beleve I could back right down to davy jones locker if I am not careful.
