Default Got started

Now getting serious with the 73 cc.
After many hours of cutting out parts of the old engine, repairing incorrectly done work, painting bilges, removing over thirty years of wires to and from nowhere we got the old beast out.
New to me engine just dropped in. Could not believe how easy that was. I do have to admit my son Ed did most of the work. He's presently a unemployed Merc Tec.
Next step will be to finish the rigging and then the questions start.
Presently no fuel tank so--what size, should we move as far forward as possible.
Cap is NOT connected to hull, I don't know why. Looked under cap seems solid with no sign of rot or foam. So do we screw and glue or just screw it together.
Guess more questions will pop up as we go along.
